Applying effects 129
Solid transparency distributes the transparency equally across the item.
Gradient transparencies are created by drawing a path across the item; Linear
transparencies are drawn by default but other categories such as Radial, Ellipse,
Conical, Plasma, Square, Three Points, and Four Points can be created.
Applying solid transparency
The Colour tab hosts a
Transparency slider which
controls the level of solid
transparency applied to currently
selected items.
The further right the slider, the
more opacity, the further left the
more transparency. Remember that
opacity is the inverse of
transparency—100% Opacity = 0%
Transparency and vice versa.
To apply solid transparency with Colour tab:
1. With your item selected, go to the Colour tab.
2. Adjust the Transparency slider to set the level of transparency. The
transparency is applied to the item(s) uniformly.
